Fun Book Giveaway!

Today's post has nothing to do with food. But I do have a fun book to giveaway! Loco: A Funny Crime Mystery is a great summer read which will entertain you from front to back cover. I have read it twice and it really cracked me up. Two lucky winners will receive the book signed by the author, Bonnie Geller. The story is about a big haired transplanted Jersey Girl, which of course, hits home for me.

Brash, bold, funny, and almost fearless, transplanted Jersey girl Stacey Lokowitz, a.k.a. Loco, exposes a deadly insurance fraud ring in Los Angeles in 1983. Armed only with her determination and imagination, Loco ignores her insurance company boss' orders to leave well enough alone. As this amateur sleuth puts the pieces of the puzzle together, she survives a burglary, freeway attack, near drowning in the Pacific Ocean, and constant threats from the ring's ominous enforcer, Ricky Torres. Having moved to L.A. with the dream of one day landing a staff writing job on a sitcom, Loco, perhaps foolishly, gets caught up in the excitement and danger of her job. She is blinded by her senses of justice and integrity. Her adventures will have you laughing but you also will be turning the pages in suspense.

So who would like to have a signed copy of this book? All you have to do is leave me a comment on what type of books you like to read. You have until Friday night, 8/21 to leave a comment. Please make sure you leave an email address if you do not own a blog. Sorry but you must have a US mailing address to participate. You can also purchase the book by clicking here. Good luck!

Hey Lisa, I like to read different genre with different seasons. But summers at the Jersey shore are easy beach reads like Mary Higgins Clarke or James Patterson. Love your blog especially because of its "Jersey flair"!!!!

I've recently become a sci-fi/fantasy book lover. I blame my husband. Typically though, I love historical fictions set in pre-WWI New York City or colonial American fiction! Though I'm always open to recommendations :)

Lisa,
I love all books but mostly fiction. I love a good mystery or a good storyline. I'm reading the Twilight series now (reading New Moon) because my daughter read them and said, "Mommy, you have to read these books"

This book sounds great. Thanks for doing the giveaway.

This is a kinda fun little give away! I love a good book, and this one sounds like it fits the bill. In general, I am a fan of ANY book that is entertaining and easy to read. (Meaning not too complex or overloaded with useless info)

I hope I win!

Sound like a book I would really enjoy! I love the occasional mystery, especially if it's funny. I've kind of lost my reading mojo lately but am working on book 3 of the Twilight series.

Sounds like a great, fun book! I tend to like reading non-fiction, autobiographies or well written biographies, but a nice easy, funny read sounds great!
